Morning Players is in the process of shipping out HOPE to Kickstarter backers, and have indicated that the game should be available in retail at the end of February.
In HOPE, players embody the greatest heroes of the earth and are in an organization created to save the universe: The H.O.P.E. (Human Organization to Preserve Existence). They will have to travel the universe aboard their ships to “terraform” the planets and stop the Regression. HOPE is a semi-cooperative game with a 3D effect board on which players move with their spaceship figurine.
In HOPE, 36 hexagonal Galaxy Tiles are assembled to create a 3D optical illusion.
Each Galaxy Tile color is an active plane with planets, that players have to terraform, in order to fight the Regression. To do so, the players drop their pioneers on hostile planets. But be careful, a traitor might hide among the players!
The Traitor has a double goal: to prevent the other players from saving the Universe and to have the most pioneers remaining on the board at the end of the game.
The game ends when players manage to save the Universe by stabilizing galaxies quicker than the Regression progresses and player with the most pioneers on the Score Track is declared the winner.
Hope is designed for 2-4 players ages 12 and up, and takes 45-60 minutes to play. It will have an msrp of $70.00.
