Lake Forest, CA (February 10, 2014) – Ubisoft and Cryptozoic Entertainment™, the premier developer of original and licensed games, today announced an all-new board game based on the critically acclaimed Assassin’s Creed entertainment franchise. Assassin’s Creed: Arena, set to arrive this winter, lets 2-4 players compete in a test of wits, cunning, and card play, as they stalk their prey in the prosperous city of Constantinople, the historic capital city of the Roman and Ottoman Empire. Designed in partnership with Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed: Arena’s tabletop experience is built from the ground up offering unique gameplay for fans of the popular franchise.

“Assassin’s Creed is one of the franchises that first comes to mind when you think of popular video games, and Ubisoft has continued to deliver amazing gaming experiences with each release,” said Adam Sblendorio, board game brand manager at Cryptozoic Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to work with Ubisoft to bring fans of Assassin’s Creed a board game that captures the spirit of the franchise while also providing a deep and enriching board gaming experience.”

In Assassin’s Creed: Arena, players compete to uncover the best targets for assassination. But before you can go in for the kill, sometimes you have to deal with some pesky guards, as well as your opponents. Players will collect cards and treasure, move guards, and hide within the city of Constantinople until they find their time to strike. Combat is handled through card play, and the player who best manages their cards will have the best chance at victory.

Assassin’s Creed: Arena will be available this winter for the retail price of $50.00. For more information on Assassin’s Creed: Arena, check back regularly to www.cryptozoic.com.
